About this piece
As part of a larger project, I wrote this tune on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 as a reflection of the general atmosphere that I and people in my circle were experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Areas of New Orleans that are usually busy are now quiet
- Many people I know are very recently out of work, but not yet in dire straits
- There’s a general sense of uncertainty about the future, but everyday life is still much the same as before
